I am an Associate Professor and Philippe Tondeur Scholar in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I am Associate Chair for Faculty. I am Brad and Karen Smith Professorial Scholar of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
I am a member of the Differential Equations and Applied Mathematics group and a faculty affiliate of the Computational Science and Engineering program.

I was named an Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellow in 2012 and a Simons Fellow in Mathematics in 2016, and received an NSF Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Award in 2014. I was designated as a 2014 Beckman Fellow of the Center for Advanced Study.

I completed my PhD at Brown University in 2006; Walter Strauss was my advisor. I was a CLE Moore Instructor at MIT in 2006-2009.

I teach MATH 424 Honors Real Analysis and MATH 558 Methods in Applied Mathematics, and contribute to the NetMath program.

I co-organized the 4th Midwest Women in Mathematics Symposium and wrote an article for Math Times.
