I am a Professor, the Philippe Tondeur Scholar, and the Associate Chair for Faculty in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I am a Brad and Karen Smith Professorial Scholar of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and an Associate of the Center for Advanced Study. I am a member of the Differential Equations and Applied Mathematics group and a faculty affiliate of the Computational Science and Engineering program.

I was named an Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellow in 2012, a Beckman Fellow of the Center for Advanced Study in 2014, and a Simons Fellow in Mathematics in 2016. I received an NSF Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Award in 2014 and a Distinguished Promotion Award in 2019.

I completed my PhD at Brown University in 2006; Walter Strauss was my advisor. I was a CLE Moore Instructor at MIT in 2006-2009.

I am an editor of the Illinois Journal of Mathematics.

I teach MATH 442 Intro Partial Differential Equations in Fall 2019.

Together with Bo Li in Statistics and Ryan Sriver in Atmospheric Sciences, I organize the Illinois Climate Seminar.

I co-organize a Graduate Research Opportunities for Women (GROW).
I co-organized a Midwest Women in Mathematics Symposium and wrote an article for Math Times.
