The total points are figured as follows.
- The combined points for the top 10 quizzes (normalized by the total number of quiz
points currently available) is multiplied by .10
- The total HW score (normalized by the total number of HW
points currently available) is multiplied by .10
- The score on exam 1 (normalized by 100 points) is multiplied
by .18. The average on exam 1 was 77.9, and the standard deviations
was 13.4.
- The score on exam 2 (normalized by 100 points) is multiplied
by .18. The average on exam 2 was 82.9, and the standard deviations
was 13.4.
- The score on exam 3 (normalized by 100 points) is multiplied
by .18. The average on exam 3 was 74.9, and the standard deviations
was 14.0.
- The score on the final (normalized by 150 points) is multiplied
by .26. The average on the final was 115.4, and the standard deviations
was 8.0.
- The points on the extra credit were added to your score. In other
words, if your original score was 76 and you got 8 on the extra credit,
your new score was 84.
