Parking

Parking is difficult on campus. If possible, leave your car at the hotel and either walk or catch a bus.

For those who wish to park on campus, a good option is to first visit the Parking Department in Room 201 of the Public Safety Building, 1110 W. Springfield Avenue, Urbana (at the corner of Springfield and Goodwin). They can sell you a "daily meter tag" for $9 that will enable you to park at any metered space around campus.
Many meters operate on Saturday as well, and so you might need two tags, if you stay for the AMS meeting on Saturday.
Alternatively, bring plenty of quarters and feed the meters directly.

The parking structure at the corner of University Avenue and Mathews Avenue (enter from Mathews, or one block east off Goodwin) is close to the Coordinated Science Lab, and has plenty of 10-hour meters. Or, you can park at metered spaces on the street, or in the open-air municipal lot on Sixth Street in Champaign, between Healey and Green Streets (entrances on Healey and Green).
