Illinois/Missouri Applied Harmonic Analysis Seminar - Funding from the Institute for Mathematics and its Applications

The Seminars for Spring and Fall 2008, and Spring and Fall 2009, are supported by the Institute for Mathematics and its Applications, through its Participating Institution (PI) program. Total funding: $5000

Reimbursement and reporting requirements
The IMA requirements must be followed. Note in particular that honoraria are not permitted.

Acknowledgment of IMA support
The IMA support should be acknowledged in all materials (printed or on the web) advertising the conference. Suggested wording:
"This conference is supported in part by the Institute for Mathematics and its Application (IMA) through its Participating Institution (PI) Program. PI members may use IMA/PI funds to support travel of their personnel to this conference."

Travel support using IMA/PI funds
In addition to the IMA funds awarded directly to the Seminar, Participating Institutions may use IMA/PI funds to support travel of their personnel to the Seminar. But this possibility should never be used to the disadvantage of participants from PIs. The Organizers should not ask participants who would otherwise be funded from the Seminar budget to use PI funds instead. For example, invited speakers from PIs should receive funding from the Seminar budget directly.
