The conference will take place in Altgeld Hall (the math department). Talks will be on the 2nd floor, in room 245.

Travel to Urbana

From Chicago

Two major airports: O'Hare (ORD) and Midway (MDW).

Bus service:

Peoria Charter goes directly to Altgeld Hall (the math department). Service from O'Hare is roughly every 2-3 hours and buses from Midway depart at 11:30am and 4pm.

Train service:

Take the El downtown to Union Station and take the Amtrak down to the Champaign station (Illini terminal). From there, you can take a taxi. Alternatively, the 5 West Green bus goes directly to Altgeld Hall (Illini Union stop).

From Indianapolis


There is no bus service, but you can rent a car from Indianapolis airport. (For directions from Indianapolis Airport to Altgeld Hall see here).

From Champaign Willard Airport

There are direct flights into Champaign airport (CMI) from Chicago O'Hare (ORD) and from Dallas Fort Worth (DFW). Note that this is often much more expensive. From CMI, you can take a taxi into town.

Transportation in Urbana

Bus service

There is excellent local bus service. Altgeld hall is served by the Illini Union stop. For more information, see here.

From the Hampton Inn to the math department, cross Goodwin and take the 22S bus from University and Goodwin to Illini Union. The math department will be across the street.

On foot

Urbana and Champaign are very walkable. Presby Hall is only 4 blocks from the math department, so it is best to walk.

Taxi, Uber and Lyft

Otherwise, cabs, Uber and Lyft are all available.
