I am currently an Professor in the
Mathematics Department
at UIUC. My field
is Applied Mathematics. I am particularly interested in the areas of
Nonlinear Wave propagation and stability of Waves and Coherent structures.
The department of Mathematics Illinois Geometry Lab is involved in introducing undergraduate students to research. In the Fall of 2015 and the Spring of 2016 I worked with a group of Illinois undergraduate students on a project involving plasticity in networks of coupled oscillators. The project page is here.
