Recommended Bus Stops for Peoria Charter Shuttle
- Chicago O'Hare Airport (ORD) stops:

If your flight arrives in Terminal 5 (almost all international
flights do), pick Terminal 5.

Otherwise pick O'Hare Bus Shuttle Center.
- Urbana/Champaign stops:

If you are staying at Nugent Hall, pick Ikenberry. Ikenberry
is part of the same residence hall complex as Nugent Hall, about a 2
minute walk from Nugent Hall.

Information for late arrivals:
The front desk at Nugent Hall is staffed 24 hours, but the entrance
will likely be locked at night. In that case, call the number posted
outside the entrance.

If you are staying at the Illini Union Hotel or the
Hampton Inn, you have two options:

Pick the "Illinois Terminal" stop and then take a taxi to the hotel.
This is the most convenient option if you have luggage or will be arriving
late at night. Illinois Terminal is the main regional transportation hub
in the Champaign/Urbana area. It is a secured building with restroom
facilities and vending machines, and it is the only Peoria Charter stop in
Champaign/Urbana with easy access to taxis.

Pick the "ISR" (Illinois Street Residence Hall) stop
and then walk to hotel.
The ISR stop is a short walk (0.5 miles, 10 minutes)
from the Illini Union Hotel and a slightly longer walk (0.8 miles,
16 minutes) from the Hampton Inn; click on the link below for a custom map.
(Note: On the Google map, the actual stop location is on Illinois Street, near
the spot marked "Levis Faculty Center".)

To get maps of bus stop locations, proceed as follows:

Go to
http://peoriacharter.com and click on the tab "Buy a ticket".
- Click on the link next to "Not sure where your stop is?" to get a list
of stops.
- Click on the appropriate stop. This will pop up a window
showing the area near the stop.
- Click on "Show larger map"
to get a full size standard Google map
that can be manipulated in the usual way.
Transportation from the Champaign Airport
The Champaign Willard Airport (CMI) is located about 15 minutes outside
Champaign/Urbana. There is no public transportation available from the
airport, so taking a taxi or an Uber are the only options.
Parking Information
Those staying at the Illini Union Hotel or the Hampton Inn can use the
parking lots of these hotels. (Illini Union guests should ask for a
parking pass at check-in.) For others the most convenient parking
is the John St. Parking Garage, located at the south-west corner
of John St. and Sixth St. in Champaign. See the
Map of Conference Venues for details and driving directions. Notes:
- During the week (Monday - Friday), visitors must use the metered
spaces on the lower levels of the garage. Parking is $1 per hour 6 am - 5 pm,
and free after 5 pm.
- On weekends (Saturday/Sunday), parking is free at all levels, and
meters are not enforced.

To get from the parking garage to Altgeld Hall, walk east (towards Altgeld
Hall) 1 block until Wright Street, then turn left for about half a
block, cross Wright Street near Green Street, and turn right again towards
Altgeld Hall.
