Course Details

    Office Hours: Wednesday 10-12.

    Textbook (required): C. H. Edwards and D. E. Penney, Calculus: Early Transcendentals, Version 6e , Prentice-Hall, 2003.

    Course Material: We will cover the material in Chapters 11 through 14 of the text. For more details click here.
    With a few exceptions, we will cover the same material as a standard section of Math 241.
    However we will cover this material in greater depth and discuss some proofs along the may.
    You will be assigned larger and more difficult problem sets.

    Grading Scheme:

    • Weekly Homework (1/6)
      Homework will be assigned after each class and is due in class every Monday.
      No late homework will be accepted.
      Your lowest homework grade will be dropped.

    • Three in-class exams (1/6 each = 1/2 total)
      Exam 1 Thursday mid September, Exam 2 Thursday mid October , Exam 3 early November.

    • Comprehensive Final Exam (1/3)
      The final exam is scheduled for Wednesday Dec.12 from 7:00PM to 10:00PM.
