Niveau spectral sequence and failure of Gersten-type conjecture, on singular schemes, by Paul Balmer

Using the niveau filtration of the category of perfect complexes, we construct a spectral sequence for Thomason's non-connective K-theory, giving in particular a Gersten-type complex for singular schemes. Our spectral sequence coincides with Thomason's hypercohomology spectral sequence exactly when this Gersten complex is locally exact, a condition which fails for general singular schemes.
